Mission Statement
|
|
I believe:
- in the team concept: It encourages unity, provides support,
and establishes continuity among families, children, and teachers.
- children should be active participants in their own learning: They
need hands-on experiences, real world instruction, activities which
require application of the skills taught and exposure to a wide array
of learning experiences.
- in different learning styles: Children do not learn in the
same ways therefore, the curriculum should be designed and formulated
in an interdisciplinary manner in order to allow for and encourage
diversity among learners.
- reading, writing, and problem solving assist every level of the
curriculum: Literature-based reading, daily creative writing, and
critical thinking are essential lifelong skills, and are an integral
part of a well-founded curriculum.
- the parental partnership is paramount to educational success:
Open, honest communication and involvement is essential to the success
of children and their learning.
- that high expectations encourage each child to strive to achieve:
Belief in one's abilities, self-esteem, and pride accompany
accomplishments.
Personal Mission Statement:
I am
dedicated to my relationships with people, both personally and
professionally. I appreciate and respect the talents and gift of others and
I strive to nurture and be a positive leader. As a lifelong learner, I
will work hard to use the knowledge I attain to impact student learning.
I believe if I give of myself honestly, fairly, and professionally, with a
positive and supportive attitude, we all will be successful.
